The host was the best we ever had. Very frendly and welcoming, they offered guidance on choosing local trips. Very good food, including breakfast or other meals from the menu. Very nice music on the terrace.

It is paradise !! The team was fabulous, the room is incredible- view from the bad to the tropical garden, the pool and the ocean. I couldn’t wait to wake up in the morning to see that ( and I couldn’t stop taking pictures). The team just wanted to make us happy and make sure we’re having fun. We didn’t have see sandals, so the owner just loaned us 4 sets just to walk in the low tide. They didn’t push us to check out and let us stay “as much as you want” as we wanted to wait for the low tide to see this miracle. It’s a new hotel and I guess the prices will go up very very soon, so hurry up.

Babalao is small with all the comforts of a 5 star resort. But is even better and they do things better. From the check in the owner Max gave us all the information we needed via WhatsApp from the app that we had to download regarding the tides, the restaurant menus, lists of restaurants to go to, prices of beds at the beach etc. There is no end time for breakfast, and the pool is open until the last guests decides to stop using it. The bungalows are wonderful! Shower pressure is good for Zanzibar, airco and beds comfortable. They even have robes. The food in the restaurant is just as good as the ones outside too! It was yummy!! The pictures here on Booking doesn’t do it justice! Once you enter this place it’s like a beautiful oasis with palm and banana trees and has cozy corners where you can chill on a lounge bed or hammocks. The staff were sweet and very helpful! Although not a beachfront property in Nungwi, it is just a 2 minute walk to the beach where all the hustle and bustle is. Also a 2 minute walk to Spanish Dancer Diving where we had booked a day of diving. All in all Babalao Bungalows is a fantastic place to stay with a chill atmosphere that gives great vibes once you walk in the property. We have absolutely enjoyed our stay here. Oh and the WiFi is great! Take it from someone who loves to upload on social media to share the travel and holiday videos and pics that are high quality. It is a very quiet place, far from the crowds. The situation is calm. A slightly isolated place where you can rest and relax. Next to it is a diving center and a restaurant (The Rock). There is a supermarket nearby, but no restaurants, cafes, or parties. It is an ideal place for those who want to relax, swim, and dive without disturbing the city.

A relaxing oasis with minimalist design in great location. Friendly staff. Excellent massage. Tasty healthy food. Gorgeous pool. Near scuba and snorkel place. Also near horse riding.

We had a wonderful stay at Pangani Cliffs! The staff and managers went above and beyond to make us feel truly welcome and cared for. The food was outstanding, every day brought a new dish prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. They also arranged a fantastic boat trip to Maziwe Island, where we had a great time. We loved exploring the reef at low tide, unwinding by the pool, and enjoying delicious cocktails with a breathtaking ocean view. I would highly recommend spending at least 2-3 days here, as there are plenty of activities to enjoy and discover. 😍

African Bungalows is a beautiful boutique style hotel, which is so hard to find in Nungwi. The pool area is exceptional with garden style surroundings. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was welcoming and friendly. The owner of the hotel Ersoy was a consummate host and made us feel really spoilt! Thank you so much for making our vacation special.

We loved the pool and the location , close to the beach and a very beautiful bar and restaurant at the front . The staff are amazing , rooms are also quite spacious also the showers are good .

Location, cleanness, family friendly, and great staff

Can’t beat the location, food, or staff. Truly a 10/10
