Denver, especially the airport is not a nice place to visit.
Denver, especially the airport is not a nice place to visit. I got lost in the airport and one of the security team sent me on a wild goose chase that further aggravated things. There are always delays in Denver. I know the airport doesn't control the weather, but the things they do control they are lousy at.

The public transportation system was great.
The public transportation system was great. The free service on 16th Avenue to the bus civic center was great. It allowed us to go to different parts of the city using a reduced fare ticket due to us being seniors. However, the smoking of marijuana in public and non-smoking areas of the city was extensive and since we have both of us have breathing issues at our age made our stay in Denver most unfavorable. In addition, many scooters and electric bikes did not follow the rules of the road, and we were in constant threat of being hit by these people. The scooters and electric bikes were more of a threat than the cars.

I'm actually born raised in Denver.
I'm actually born raised in Denver. But I now lived somewhere else and I was coming to visit. Denver is a nice city, clean and respectful and not too hard to learn. Most of the streets are in a grid like fashion. Driving through the mountains is absolutely spectacular. No one should come visit Denver without driving to Glenwood Springs. The Glenwood Canyon is hard to explain until you see it up close and then you are blown away!

I would live here if I could.
I would live here if I could. The weather was exceptional, the locals are kind, and the things to do are endless. We explored many bars and restaurants and made the most of our trip. Love that within a two hour drive you can see/do so much as well. Such as Idaho springs, Golden, green of the gods, etc.

The ease of paying for and taking the trains and busses was good. The art museum was a waste of money and time. The botanical gardens were wonderful and spending the morning hours there was the highlight of my day. Food at restaurants was good. The heat of summer and the haze from the wildfires made the trip difficult. Best not to go in the height of summer. The Dustang bus travel was great! Really helped me to get from the countryside to Denver relatively easily (price was great)! The airport was crowed and confusing with all the renovations going on.

Criminal activity at 7 11 on Colfax on way home from restaurant.
Stopped for water and fuel.
Could have done with law enforcement patrol.
Denver is a starting location for rocky mountain access .

The hotel is in a great location, very walkable to all downtown Denver attractions and lots of great restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable. Good size, nice windows, nice shower, and comfortable bed. The fitness facility is very good. There were plenty of machines and weights--every morning there were 4-6 people exercising and it was easy to accommodate them all. The staff were very nice and attentive.

The room was great, overlooking Downtown Denver. We selected the hotel for a couple of nights ahead of a holiday touring the mountains. We selected this one even though it was out of town because the cost of Downtown hotels was ridiculous. We planned to use busses to get into town, but the hotel ran a free, on demand, shuttle to the local train station which was great.
