Le Grenier du Chapitre is in the oldest and best part of Sarlat, city parking lot, shopping and restaurants all near by, inside the apartment feels roomy and laid out nicely, modern appliances like coffee maker, stove, washing machine all working perfectly, inside the apartment, structure of building and surrounding area all full of charm. Tourist office and main church is right around the corner, where the famous twice a week morning market takes place, local farms sell incredible high quality farm products, which we love to bring back to apartment to cook. Dordogne is a very special area, Sarlat makes the best home base for travelers, we are so glad booking early to stay 5 nights in Le Grenier du Chapitre.

Location was fantastic, quiet, secluded and private. Set back just off the main road outside Sarlat. Le Clos Vallis is an oasis of calm with beautiful surroundings, yet minutes away from so much that this fantastic area has to offer. The owners Didier and Valerie are both lovely, warm and attentive people. They really made us feel welcome and will do their best to ensure your stay is as good as it can be, it felt like a little family :-) and thanks again for the bottles of red wine! My Son absolutely loved the Donkey (Penelope) and the Shetland Pony (Joker), it just adds to the fantastic ambience. I rarely go back to the same places more than once, as like to try to new things, but Le Clos Vallis is a keeper, we will be back for sure and hope to meet again the wonderful owners and the Donkey!

Absolutely everything. This was a beautiful little oasis located right in the middle of the Medieval town of Sarlat. The garden area and enclosed yard was a place of tranquility. The rooms and the decor were of the highest quality and then to top our stay off, the breakfast served up by Michelle the following morning was simple delicious. Thank you Michelle. Stayed here for two nights with my partner and wish we had planned to stay longer. The photos don’t do the place justice. The room we stayed in was basic but the property is absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed a morning by the pool and in the evening a glass of wine in the garden before heading down to the old town for dinner. A very relaxed setting but close to the town. We would love to come and stay here again. Lots of things to do and see in the old town. The two restaurants that were recommended to us by the owners were also fantastic.
