This hotel is ideally located inside the castle and close to the lake. It is a bit tricky to bring the car inside, but manageable. Rooms are nicely done. Breakfast was excellent and quite unusual. They served sandwiches, wraps, sweet breads, cookies on a large platter for two of us. We could finish only half or so, the rest was packed for us to go. I somehow lost Apple CarPlay connection in our rental car, we being an older couple and technically challenged needed help. The owner, Zois, fixed it for us. Thanks Zois.

Very nice and polite staff, with an exceptional breakfast buffet, boasting a huge variety of tastes and flavors. The staff was above and beyond with customer service, as well as the breakfast each morning. And the location was perfect for being in Ioannina. Although parking was a short walk to a paid parking lot, the Staff carried my luggage when I arrived as well as when I left to my car.

Room #9 was just perfect for us. We went down town for dinner first night and second night had a superb dinner in the restaurant with a table on the outside terrace with an amazing view. The food was wonderful, the wine was great and the staff were very professional and more importantly, they were friendly. During dinner we were entertained by the music from the amphitheatre next door as the Festival of Ioannina was underway (we ventured in there after dinner - atmospheric, loved it!) Yiorjios in the breakfast room made us very welcome and was very helpful as we had some questions about directions. Breakfast cannot be faulted and anyone who would complain is just hard to please or being contrary. Ladies in reception were also lovely, professional and friendly
