what a wonderful stay! We arrived after a long and tiresome day, and were warmly greeted by Helen from reception, who made us feel so welcome. Other members of staff were also welcoming, warm and efficient. The rooms are spacious, well equipped, and nicely decorated. The public spaces are beautiful and comfortable. I had a minor health issue to see to, and can't be thankful enough to Helen, who took great concern and has done her best to help me. Many thanks! Highly recommended in every respect.

The host, Sandra, was very welcoming and accommodating (we arrived early). The suite was superb: quiet, comfortable, and spacious, with a great view. Super breakfast too.

The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is beautiful, clean and located near the center of town. We were able to walk quickly to the town center for shopping, pubbing and visiting local attractions. The hotel restaurants offered delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had several meals there.

Kathleens Country House is a great hotel just about 5 minutes by car from the center of Killarney. We booked two rooms, both of which were pleasantly spacious, well-furnished, and absolutely clean. The beds were very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. The proximity to the road was not an issue at night as there was hardly any traffic from late evening onwards. The bathrooms in both rooms were completely renovated, modern, and also absolutely clean. The staff at Kathleens Country House were all very friendly and helpful. Both during check-in and at breakfast, the staff were attentive and happy to assist. As is common in Ireland, a kettle, tea, and even coffee were provided in the room, so tea and coffee could be prepared at any time. The breakfast was good with something for everyone. The breakfast room is large enough to avoid any waiting times. I can wholeheartedly recommend Kathleens Country House if you are looking for accommodation in the area. It is very well suited as a starting point for excursions to the Kerry and Dingle peninsulas.

The hosts hazel and her husband were exceptionally lovely and welcoming people. We will definitely be staying here again. The room was amazing and the bed was massive , it was all so clean it was just like walking into a 5 star hotel.
