Set in Belém, 900 metres from Feliz Lusitania, Atrium Hotel Quinta De Pedras boasts a restaurant, bar and free WiFi throughout the property. From check-in to checkout the staff was friendly and helpful. I don't speak any Portuguese at all and I was either helped by someone that spoke English or they found someone who could help me. All with a minimum of fuss. My personal travel style is to walk about in the neighborhood and find interesting local places to eat. I did that at this location, just walking around until I found a fantastic barbeque place for lunch. I did a little more exploration of the dock areas at the end of the alleys along the waterfront. I also spent a few hours strolling around the Mangal das Garças, just about a hundred yards around the corner. It has manicured gardens, birds, a lighthouse, and a greenhouse coffee shop. The area surrounding the hotel is the old town of Bélem. The hotel is quite different than the surroundings, but I found that interesting, particularly the juxtaposition to th overgrown building next door. I found the area to be safe and friendly during my walks. I took a relaxing soak in the pool before dinner. There are gym and spa facilities I didn't use. I had reviewed the hotel's dinner menu earlier, upon arrival and, that night, treated myself to a wonderfully prepared seafood dinner, sitting under the stars in the central courtyard. My room was large, very clean, and had a fantastic shower. In the morning I took advantage of the breakfast buffet. It offered a variety of choices for different breakfast styles and I found it very good. I Uber'ed from the Bélem airport and returned the same way. The location of the hotel could be useful if you are planning to connect with an upstream boat. The combination of friendly staff and a premium room made the Atrium my best hotel experience in Brazil!

Just 1,2 km from Manauara Shopping mall, this modern hotel offers a fitness centre, buffet breakfast and 24-hour reception. Parking is available for free. We stayed here only for a night and it was great. The breakfast was amazing and the rooftop is very nice!

With decor inspired in the local pre-colombian culture, Hotel Marajoara is located in Belém, 500 metres from Basilica-Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazareth, and offers free WiFi and free breakfast. The staff was super kind and helpful. Rooms were clean and had all the amenities you would expect. Would definitely recommend this place for when visiting Belem!

Hotel Hangar is located in Belém. This 3-star hotel offers free WiFi in public areas and rooms, as well as a shared lounge and a 24-hour reception. Val de Cans Airport is 5 km away. Our flight was changed so we ended up staying only 4 hours. For this purpose the hotel is perfect. Very basic, but with a clean bed and a good shower, that’s all you need, and all you’d expect for the price paid. Surprisingly the night receptionist spoke very good English and was very friendly.
