I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Lugano and just a short walk to Piazza della Riforma, the charming Christmas markets, and the main shopping district. Being right next door to the funicular/cable car to the train station made arrival and departure incredibly easy. The food was a highlight. Breakfast was incredible with a huge variety of continental and English options, including plenty of vegetarian choices. We also had a very good dinner at the restaurant. The hotel had a lovely festive vibe, but what truly stood out was the service. Every staff member was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend!

The Hotel&Hostel Montarina occupies a historic Villa built around 1860, only 200 metres from the Lugano train station. החדר היה מאד קטן אבל מאד נקי ונעים. המיטות השמיכות המזגן, העברנו לילה נפלא. גם המבנה היה מיוחד ויפה. קרוב לתחנת הרכבת למרות שהיה לנו אוטו ובמקום היתה חניה שזה היה חשוב לנו.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. The location was excellent, walking distance to the main train station. We had a gorgeous view of the lake and mountains. The hotel gave us free city bus tickets to use for our stay! Also, the breakfast was great for us and had a beautiful view.
