Offering stylishly furnished rooms with balconies and coffee machines and free Wi-Fi, the Testa Grigia hotel has been completely renovated in 2010. It is only a 5-minute walk from Zermatt Train Station and Sunnegga Express funicular. One of the rooms we booked was beyond out expectations but the other was quite small and had a slanted ceiling and we kept hitting our heads..

Situated close to the ski lifts in Zermatt, Alpen Resort & Spa features a restaurant, and spacious rooms with cable TV. WiFi in the entire building and transport from Zermatt Train Station from 07:00 o'clock to 21:00 o'clock are both offered for free. There is also an outdoor tennis court on site . The indoor pools and the outdoor jacuzzi were the highlights of our stay. The view in the morning was also breathtaking (I recommend a room with a view to the Matterhorn).

In a quiet location of Zermatt, Hotel Romantica offers a garden, free WiFi, and rooms with flat-screen cable TV. The Sunnegga Funicular Railway is less than 700 metres away and hiking paths start nearby. Hoteliers Michelle and Thor (if I am writing correctly) were a lovely couple. Since going to Zermatt is an experience based travel in a limited time, getting the guidance for our travel from a local was so precious. We had just 2 days and one of it was rainy. With the help of Thor’s recommendations we could made the most out of it. Hotel was so lovely as well. Room was clean and felt like home.

In the centre of Zermatt, Chalet Annelis offers views of the Matterhorn and spacious, self-catering accommodation units with free WiFi. The Sunnegga Express funicular and the Zermatt Train Station are 500 metres away. The views were amazing. Lots of ventilation due to so many windows and 3 balconies.

Backstage Boutique Hotel is within walking distance of Gornergrat railway and Sunnega railway. A ski bus is also close by. A tennis court and a skating rink are in front of the hotel. Nice room with nice view, nice people on the reception

A very French-style interior, with jazz playing on the little satellite radio in the room.(it was refreshing after staying in other hotel rooms that felt so generic) Great breakfast spread and very friendly hospitable staff.
