The breakfast, taken on the balcony overlooking the estuary, was well beyond expectations with individual trays of fruits, meats and pastries served to each table. Our room was at the back of the property, hence no view of the estuary, and only a limited view of the rear garden. However, the bed was extremely comfortable and the room very clean.

Located just 45 metres from San Sebastian Convention Centre and the Auditorium, Pensión Kursaal offers bright rooms with central heating and free Wi-Fi. San Sebastian is a gem. Pension Kursal is in a wonderful location in the less touristy neighborhood of Gros. 2 minutes from beach, 10 minutes from train and bus station and a quick walk over a bridge to old town. The Staff was kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. San Sebastian is the most expensive city in Spain but well worth it.

Less than 5 km from the coast and beside the Basque town of Irun, this charming hotel has a lovely garden and free internet. Beautiful rooms. Modern and stylish and the hotel was also just as nice with a log fire blazing in reception. Nice touch.

Tento malý, rodinný hotel má nádherný výhled na moře z městské části Monte Igeldo. Vychutnejte si výhled na dramatické baskické pobřeží až budete snídat v malebné jídelně. This is a very friendly and characterful hotel in a lovely setting on Monte Igueldo. We had a room with a sea view which we were glad we had chosen. The availability of a laundry room was unexpected and useful. You can walk into San Sebastián along the Camino, but need a bus (or taxi after 10pm) back.

The Zinema7 is themed around cinema and the San Sebastián Film Festival. Each room offers free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV’s and is dedicated to an actor or director who has visited the city. I loved the hotel vibe, the quality of the beds, the friendly staff. It feels like you’re staying in a 5* hotel!
