Convento de San Benito is a restored convent, set in the pretty Galician fishing port of A Guarda. The spacious rooms all have a french balcony, a minibar and a safe. What an absolutely beautiful property right down on the harbor! Hotel Monumento is a lovely restored convent with so many historical pieces and artifacts. Our room was impeccably clean, with a super comfortable bed and very nice linens. The staff were so very kind and gracious- it was just a very very nice stay!

Semi-rural location although a fairly busy main N-road passes nearby. Luckily at night traffic calmed down. Cozy room with view of the local castle on the hill. Bit short on space for luggage. Comfortable bed. Delicious homemade breakfast.

This beautiful, historical hotel was built in the 1700s. The staff was warm and friendly and very helpful with directions and arranging transportation. The hotel was spotless and decorated with original furniture. However, the room furnishings were new and comfortable. We were in the top floor suite. It’s the only one on the floor and had a queen sized bed, trundle bed and chair that opened to a bed. The breakfast had fresh fruits, breads, cheeses, meats, cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, fresh squeezed orange juice, cakes, and pastries. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes to the town square where the community gathers in the evening. Many restaurants to choose from. Easy walking to historical sights, parks and trails. It’s located on the Camino. I recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Our superior double included a gorgeous little terrace looking over the monastery and the sea. It's on the camino trail in the heart of the small town and a notable historic building in its own right. It also has a wonderful 'secret garden' for guests, overlooking the sea. Highly recommended, thank you!
