A lovely small hotel in a quiet neighborhood but only 5-10 minutes walk from the train station. Very convenient. Staff was very welcoming and kind. Gave excellent local information and suggestions for dining. The room was spacious and very comfortable and cozy. The bed super. Electric kettle in the room with teas, infusions and instant coffee. A nice touch. And Netflix ! A very very nice stay. Thank you !

Located in the pedestrian area of Nîmes historical city centre, Hôtel De L'Amphithéâtre consists of 2 mansions dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Excellent location, very nice room/atmosphere in hotel and friendly and helpful staff. Nîmes is a beautiful city with romantic streets, immaculately restored historic facades and of course the impressive Roman buildings it is famous for. Large parts of the city center are pedestrianised, so it’s very comfortable to explore everything by foot (distances are short). Note that the hotel is at one of the most central squares with a number of great restaurants and bars. Windows are sound proof but better to ask for a room to the rear if you are noise sensitive at night.
