MacKays is a high-quality, 4-star guest house, which is exclusively for adults. The award-winning property stands out on Oban's beautiful seafront, with uninterrupted views of the busy harbour. There are a lot of very thoughtful details that make it so special. Like the binoculars on the window ledge, or the decanter with sherry, and tunnocks tea cakes. The room is beautiful and huge, and the view is stunning. We loved sitting in the armchairs and looking out over the bay. We totally recommend staying here if you have the chance. It's a short walk round the bay, which is also very scenic.

Stayed in the Sun Room which was lovely and included a small fridge to keep breakfast items chilled, as appropriate.

Had a great conversation with the owner over breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable and overlooked the beautiful harbor. I had to check in late because I caught the late ferry from Islay, and the owner was very accommodating.
