Originally a wealthy sea captain’s mansion built in 1810, the Hotel Miranda is a fine example of characteristic local architecture. The old decor fits the location so well. The garden is also beautiful. It was a joy to have breakfast there every morning (and befriend the cats). The location is perfect - very close to the port, yet in a quiet area. We managed to drag our luggage there ourselves - it was easier downhill when we left:).

Very comfortable room. Great friendly and very helpful reception and service. Great breakfast. I also liked that it was a little bit away from the busy port so it was so quiet. We had a lovely balcony with sun chairs and a little table and chairs outside.

It was so cute and homely with everything you need - beautifully decorated; clean and comfortable; super close to the port (literally 3 minutes walk); and the owners were super friendly and hospitable, giving great local recommendations for restaurants and bars. I’d definitely go back!

Nedávno zrekonstruovaný Hotel Hydra se může pochlubit nádherným výhledem na Hydru. Sídlí v budově z přelomu století v centru ostrova Hydra. Nejbližší koupaliště je vzdálené 5 minut chůze. The views, room amenities, staff helpfulness are all pluses to the Hotel Hydra. When I chose the hotel, I knew it was up a long path with many stairs. However, the views at the hotel and the surrounding sights made the walk worth it. The signage is good so it is difficult to get lost. The area around the hotel has an historic mansion and the family home of a famous artist. Both were excellent and interesting visits.
