We adored staying at this hotel. First of all, I would like to thank the management for being eco-sensitive. I wish hotels would take exemple of you and use reusable cute little shampoo and conditioner bottle and bar soap. Everything was wrapped in brown paper rather than plastic. The complimentary sweets they gave at the end was also in recycle paper . They filled up nice glass bottle of water in our room rather than giving plastic one.
This hotel just made our vacation in Indonesia so much better. What I liked so much was that it was not your generic modern hotel. The hotel has character! The pool and the building is breath taking but every hall every corridor every common rooms is unique and filled with art and history. If you book this hotel , go explore ! Take the guided tour of the hotel and learned about its history , go enjoy the complimentary free massage, taste their sweets baked on site, enjoy the complimentary free afternoon tea and coffee. We went everyday and were stunned to see that they changed the various treats everyday.
All the staff are nice but then again I came to realize Indonesian are the nicest people I have met in my life.
Bottom line is beautiful hotels are not that hard to find, but hotels were you create memories are, and I'll definitely remember staying at Tugu Malang all my life.

The room was very comfortable and cozy, perfect for recharging after a few days of physical activities. It was also valentines day and the hotel made special arrangements with my partner to give me a surprise. The facilities and amenities were great, and the location was convenient to explore the bustling parts of the city.

My stay at Regantris Hotel was great. Clean and neat room with all amenities required. I booked the breakfast option, which was mind-blowing. There were many vegetarian options, including local Indonesian ones, lots of salad, fruits, desserts, and western-style breakfast options. The staff was lovely and incredibly helpful. The entire atmosphere was amazing and I really enjoyed my stay in Surabaya. Terima kasih! When back in Surabaya, I'll opt for Regantris again.

Gorgeous guest house in a nice area of the city. Very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. 24 hours front desk was good for early mount bromo tour pick ups. Lovely communal area with cool fish pond. Room and bed were big with good AC! Would recommend!

Allthough the 5 Star Qualification does not compare to the level of luxury.
Rooms very dated.
Initialy they gave as a room which was terrible.
After complaining we had an upgrade to an renovated “suite”
Much better but still not 5 Star rating worth.
This hotel has some potential to be one of the nicest and most historical hotels from Indonesia.
But the owner must invest!
