On the shores of Killary Harbour lies Ireland's oldest coaching inn. Dating from 1796, you'll find traditional home cooking, antique furniture and the most spectacular views in Ireland. It was perfect for my dog to stay with patio doors from bedroom , the view was stunning , food was beautiful and great value, staff lovely would definitely be back .

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. Wonderful charming place in a beautiful area.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town. This was the best accommodation I stayed at in Ireland. The hosts were great and the breakfasts delicious. I was even given a pot of tea and warm cake on arrival!

The Alcock and Brown hotel in Clifden is a central and cosy hotel offering a dedicated welcoming service in a relaxed atmosphere. Convenient, clean and good staff.
