We stayed at the Martello during our week long vacation in Ireland & we could not have been happier. The room was modern but we felt like we were actually IN Ireland. The restaurant/bar was amazing (both food & beverages) and the staff were BEYOND astonishing! No hyperbole, staying at the Martello was the best lodging experience we've ever had, whether in the States or abroad.

This 400-year old hotel is nestled in the beautiful Vale of Avoca, overlooking Woodenbridge Golf Club. Its modern rooms have free Wi-Fi, while its AA Rosette restaurant serves full Irish breakfasts. Friendly staff, tasty food and huge drinks selection (beers, cider and whiskey). They were very accommodating when we arrived late and put dinner away for us.

Built in 1883 and located on an oak-lined avenue, Tinakilly House is a 4-star Victorian mansion set in 7 acres of landscaped gardens with stunning views overlooking the Irish sea. return visit. location is lovely. property has a nice atmosphere. Our second stay and we got the same room, a little touch but it made it feel special.
