Surrounded by beautiful gardens, Shamrock Lodge Hotel is a family-run hotel located in the very centre of Ireland, just 5 minutes’ walk from the restaurants, bars, and nightlife of Athlone town... We loved the Shamrock ☘️. Would very happily stay again and recommend to others. Very close to town and ammenities. Bed was comfortable. Next time I would ask for a room not near generator which came on intermittently. Had to close window because of the noise so no fresh air. Lifts not stairs 👍on-site complimentary parking.

Surrounded by magnificent parkland and nestled on the shores of Lough Ennell, Bloomfield House Hotel, Leisure Club & Spa form a perfect country escape. Excellent hotel the grounds and views fantastic the staff amazing. The rooms are great beds comfy amenities are everything you need The food is excellent and service is great. I'm in the trade and I couldn't fault one thing. Cost wise I was very surprised it's not as expensive as most four star hotels of lower quality. Really can't recommend the Bloomfield high enough it's fantastic in every way

On the banks of the River Shannon, Radisson Blu Hotel, Athlone is situated in the town centre, overlooking the historic Athlone Castle. The hotel has a modern leisure club and stylish restaurant. It was clean, comfortable. Food was great, staff were very helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Located in Athlone town centre, Arch House is just 2 minutes' walk from the historic Athlone Castle, Old Town, and River Shannon. Very warm friendly and helpful owners at this B and B and was pleased we stayed there. Was in a great location to all the sites in this gorgeous town. And thankyou for helping us find more accommodation in this town to stay another night. We loved this town.

Next to Mullingar Train Station, The Newbury has free super-fast WiFi, free parking. Located in the centre of Mullingar, the 3 star The Newbury is 50 minutes from Dublin. They accepted our booking the night of! Room was clean and had a surprise twin bed. Walkable distance to down town, free parking but quiet at night.
