Mitsui Garden Hotel Kumamoto is a 20-minute walk from Kumamoto Castle and a 5-minute drive from JR Kumamoto Station. It offers modern accommodation with a cafe, massage services and free internet. Good place, awesome staff (as usual in Japan), average room size with all amenities you really need. Vending and ice machines available. What i really loved was the breakfast, given the price we paid for the hotel we didn't expect much, but it was definitely the best breakfast we had in 20 days trip in Japan. Much much recommended.

Dormy Inn Kumamoto Natural Hot Spring is centrally located in Kumamoto, in front of the Kumamoto Bus Terminal and 1.6 km from the JR Kumamoto Station. Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und der Onsen ein Traum. ONSEN auf dem Dach, Außenbecken und Sauna, einfach super. Die Zimmer waren ordentlich, Betten bequem, gratis Eis beim Onsen. Die Lage war hervorragend. Direkt nebenan eine riesen Shoppingmeile, Busbahnhof und die Straßenbahn. Attraktionen gut zu erreichen. Wir würden wieder kommen. Ein toller Aufenthalt. :)
