Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Fantastic location, a very short distance out of the main tourist areas, but close to everything. Beautiful setting both inside and out. The room had fantastic views and was very comfortable and spacious. Lots of amenities available.

It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

Reopened in April 2014 after renovations, Miyajima Morinoyado offers comfortable guest rooms and a spacious public bath. the friendly staff, the delicious food service, good location close to the forest and away from the massive crowds
