The iconic Boudha Stupa is only 1 km away, while the Pashupatinath Temple is 4 km from the hotel. We had great stay. Rooms specious, location is perfect, only 8 minutes to Stupa. Quite neighborhood. Hotel and rooms very clean. Breakfast delicious and service during breakfast 5 star.

Staffs are very friendly, accommodating, caring and courteous. Let me give you an example of its caring staff. “For the breakfast, they serve you with two slices of toasts. Since I was cutting down carbs, I asked the lady at front desk to send me only one slice of toast because I didn’t want to waste food. After few days, she brought me two slices of toasts and told me that the size of the bread on that particular day was kind of smaller, and she thought one smaller piece wouldn’t be enough. That just brought a big smile in my face.” Even the dog at the property is so kind, it likes to welcome all the guests each time they arrive. I will definitely come back here next time I visit Nepal.

Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu is located in Kathmandu, next to Narayanhiti Palace Museum. The hotel offers an outdoor swimming pool and spa. Four dining options are available and parking is free. We visit Kathmandu every year or two and have for several years stayed at the Shanker before and after trekking. It’s close to Thamel but well away from the busy road, making it a quiet haven. The staff are very pleasant and attentive. The whole place is very clean, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. A large selection of foods for breakfast, a swimming pool and large garden. Good value for a quality hotel.
