we enjoyed staying at this beautiful place. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, such a lovely location with these breathtaking views and surrounding sound of nature. The incredible interior design with clearly an eye for detail made it a real joy to stay. The beds were super comfy and me and my mum left fully relaxed. The cute cuddly bunny is an absolute bonus. I will definitely come back and recommend the cottage to friends and family.

Just needed a room for overnight connection for international flight. 5 star luxury. Everything is gorgeous and pristine. Aaron at front desk was super and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. I was tired and not feeling great so I ordered room service. Food is phenomonal gourmet classy and world class delicious. Was given an eta on delivery. Then they called to let me know it was ready and on its way. You just dont expect that. The extra touches of detail in the room is out of this world. 100% impressed.

The Designer Cottage is a lovely place with a lot of character. Breakfast was served to everyone sitting at one big table which gave it a real family atmosphere, very nice! Both Chet and Steve are very kind and helpful. Chet gave me lots of inside information about places to visit or where to eat, thank you! He has also a great website with a lot more information. I liked the fact that one can walk downtown. But there would be a bus too (the same that goes to the gondola).
The house is located at a perfect off the grid spot which is a short drive from Kaikoura. The host was very friendly and efficient in replying queries. There were thoughtful touches through the house. The place is modern and features designer interior and views to the river and sea. The outdoor bath was perfect for relaxing.
