The service and food were so good! The free pass to the museum was fun also! I enjoyed the good chocolate and the free cocktail! The room was very nice and the bed was soft!

The Hotel da Oliveira is within the historical Guimarães city centre, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Guimarães Castle, the city’s most iconic landmark is 150 metres away. Beautiful location. Staff took such good care of us. Hope we get to come back.

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Very nice conversion of an old monetary into a very nice hotel keeping most of the historic elements intact in the public rooms, the guest rooms, the bars and dinning facilities. All very well done. There is a working cemetery and a 10 acre garden, woods on site as well.

Everything was great!

Trovador Guest House is located in the historic center of Guimarães and offers comfortable suites just 1 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Wi-Fi is free in all areas. We only had time to stay in Guimaraes for two nights but we packed a lot of walking and sight seeing into the time we had. The Trovador Guest house operates from a small group of houses in the older part of town near what was the leather tanning area of the city. There are lots of interesting buildings around the area bars, cafes and eateries within easy walking distance. Our room was spotlessly clean and it was evident that the building had recently been restored - very tastefully decorated and furnished. The staff were very helpful and pleasant and they went out of their way to help us find things that we were looking for. A great breakfast was also provided with lots of pasteries, and fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, juices etc.
