U&me hotel is located in the center of Umeå, just 50 meters from the Umeälv. The contemporary furnished rooms all have a fantastic view of the city or the river. Great location Central to town, river, walks, buses. Close to train station. Lots of restaurants and cafes, shops. Great breakfast to start the day. Loveliest staff throughout the stay. You don't even need to leave the building to have a good break. 4 storey library, women's museum, art galleries, art cinema, 2 restaurants, grocery shop, all in the same building. Well equipped rooms. Great views. Staff were able to fit us in extra nights on the day our train was cancelled due to snow, much appreciated!!

Everything was easily accessible by walking - shopping, restaurants, bus and train stations. The breakfast was exceptional. The hours were reasonable, the selection was great, and the food was delicious. The atmosphere of the hotel was great. It was an older building, but obviously had been completely updated, so it had a lot of character but was very comfortable. The eating area was in a large glass covered courtyard that really added to the experience.
