Forum Homini Boutique Hotel is set within a residential wildlife estate, only 13 km outside of Muldersdrift. It offers luxurious cave-style accommodation and a fine dining restaurant. I loved the peace and quiet that the hotel managed to offer. While finer-dining is not really my forte, it was truly excellent as an exploration of flavours and textures. The facilities were clean and wonderful, the staff made it absolutely magical.

Situated in the suburb of Melville in Johannesburg, Lucky Bean Guesthouse features a lush garden and an outdoor pool. The guest house is 1 km from the Country Club. This is an art-filled, one of a kind place. Conway and Natasha are wonderful hosts. There are some restaurants nearby, as well.

Located in Houghton, The Residence is a boutique hotel that offers spacious suites with a spa bath, and a balcony overlooking the garden, the fire pit or the outdoor pool. We loved the design of this hotel. It was like Ethan Allen had had a hand in decorating the public spaces - it was so perfectly boho British Colonial. We loved the cozy bar and the lush plantings on the grounds of the hotel. Also loved the breezeway with the coy pond on the way to the bar and restaurant. Our room was very comfortable. The staff was laid back while still being professional. We have stayed in many places in South Africa that were super-duper deluxe. We liked that The Residence felt more homey and comfortable without being over the top.

The place is so relaxing and calming. We came for 4 nights after a Safari in the Kruger and was made to feel at home from the start. The compound was very safe, and the staff were very friendly. We got to know some of them quite well. We frequented the spa and the ladies thay worked there were so nice, offering us recommendations for meals. Talking of the spa, we had our fair share of treatments, and each time we wanted to come back for more. We would recommending using Uber to get around the city as that seems to be the safest option, and would recommend a meal at 'And then there was fire' which is an experience in itself. If (when) we come back to J'berg, we will be stopping at the Wesley again.
