The place is blessed by nature with beautiful hills and lakes but unfortunately there are plenty of trash everywhere. One must be aware that there are no taxis in the region. This is absolutely Not a tourist town so if you like...
This is absolutely Not a tourist town so if you like authentic, daily life encounters this is a welcoming town. We spent a day hiking and another day driving to Peshkopia to enjoy the thermal baths and see more of the country. Kukës seems to be a very fast-growing town with lots of infrastructure improvements underway. Every evening the main street is blocked off so the town can some stroll. SO civilized. Our stay at the Gjallica Hotel was delightful and we cannot recommend it highly enough! They make the Best bread in Albania so their Pizza is also the best.Guest review byConstanceUnited States
