This was the most beautiful place we have stayed at at such a great price. There was nothing that we needed. The frig even had milk, and other items. We were so impressed with this home we could have stayed longer but we were on a timed trip. There is a restaurant right down the hill which was fabulous.

Two hotels at Miena - Great Lakes Hotel and Miena Holiday...

Two hotels at Miena - Great Lakes Hotel and Miena Holiday Village Hotel. Great Christmas lunch at Great Lakes Hotel, didn't eat at other hotel. No bottleshop facilities at either. Well stocked General Store with fuel. Miena is the main town in the Tasmanian wilderness, Central Highlands. Beautiful high country vegetation and wildflowers at this time. Many lakes to visit and walks to take.Has camping facilities and public toilets/shower block. Summertime right now, but snow covered in Winter - would be a wonderland. Wildlife includes wombats, wallabies and deer. Area famous for trout fishing in lakes. Is a photographers paradise for all things nature.
