Brand new mother daughter ski duo had amazing success with SkiBig3 Banff Adventure Hub gear rental and private ski instructor. Skied 3 days. Also enjoyed dogsledding in Canmore! Totally exceeded our expectations! Shops were variety of price points and restaurants offered a variety of options. Every turn of your drive was breathtaking! My teen stayed off of social media and thoroughly enjoyed the scenery during our drives! Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly in this town!

It is an absolutely charming town nestled in a most beautiful natural environment. The people were all very warm, kind, and helpful, although interestingly, they all (but one person I met) seemed to be from the UK, New Zealand, or Australia. But the accents were great, and so were the people. Next vacation... Australia! Back to Banff... a great getaway whether for skiing in the winter or simply unwinding, reflecting, and pondering the next steps, or getting your dream girl to say "yes" to the ring.

Banff and the surroundings are very picturesque and the towering Rockies add to the grandeur of the place. The ride in the Gondolas and the walk in the snow at the top is something no visitor must miss. Lake Minnewanka in all it's frozen splendour with the cabins in it's midst is spectacular when the sun comes up. Lake Louise - a few Kms away - is also something to behold. All in all a fabulous place to spend a few days.

There was a severe lack of snow this year (an el Niño year) which interfered with some of our planned outdoor activities, and meant we had to drive to Lake Louise for decent snow. We largely avoided downtown Banff because of the large number visitors and tourist shops. Parks staff at the information centre were very helpful.

Gondola rides was closed that time, for 5 days under maintanances must be mentioned or announced in your offer, so I dont have to booked too near to location a bit disappointed..but overall we still enjoyed downtown Baff.
The Banff YWCA exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 2 weeks as a solo traveller. For me, a luxury hotel is not important as I prefer to be out exploring and just needed a place to lay my head that was budget friendly. The room was very basic but clean and comfy. There’s a full size fridge and microwave for guests to use in lobby, ice machine and Coinamatic laundry facilities. The location is perfect, right beside the river and just a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to downtown. Staff was excellent as well.
The hotel and rooms were very clean and modern, the staff were really friendly and it was situated right in the centre of Banff Main Street so everything was walkable. The amenities provided in the rooms were very good (drinks/fridge/toiletries/towels/hairdryer etc) and also, they have a rooftop hot tub available as well as bar/restaurant within the hotel.
Also, parking spaces are available to guests which was ideal for us as we were driving to the ski resorts each day.
Would definitely return to this hotel!
An absolutely superb hotel - amazing service from start to finish! Huge two bed suite with three bathrooms and so much space for the whole family to relax. Love view of the mountains. Outdoor pool was amazing and had a bar! Restaurants we’re fab as were the staff! Free bus shuttle into Banff town which we used twice - lovely shops and restaurants - so well worth dragging ourselves away from fairmont for a few hours.
Banff was just simply amazing, I had the most amazing time. The king Edward hotel is about as close to the centre as you can get, all the shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. The hotel itself is fabulous value for money and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. I would love to go back to Banff and would have no hesitation in staying at the king Edward hotel again!
We had stayed here 3 years ago and liked it. It's been noticeably renovated since then so even better. Perfect location a short walk from "downtown" Banff. Staff was very nice, Eva in particular was just extra friendly and helpful. Loved the free but secure indoor parking with easy access into the hotel. Stayed 5 nights, could've stayed another week!
The room was fantastic. The room was very clean, large. My favorite part of the hotel room was them having Rocky Mountain Soap! It was a fantastic touch. The room had a fridge, microwave, and was very comfortable. The hotel is also very close to the 8X Roam Transit bus that takes you from Banff to Lake Louise. Staff were very friendly.
It was an awesome staycation for us! Shiela made our trip better as she was very helpful and gave us the best customer service! We love
The ambiance of the pool as well and the room was clean. Highly recommended and in the heart of Banff. Pet-friendly too for only $15 charge per pet. Great hotel for fur parents.
We really like the Moose Hotel because of its location close to downtown Banff. We also really enjoy the two outdoor Hot Tubs on the upper floor. They are pet friendly as well and it was our first trip with our dog and they were very accommodating and provided us with a Dog Bed, Bowls and a treat for him too.
Amazing stay, best of our Canada roadtrip. Alexandra, her husband and Esther are the best hosts ever. The bed and the room were excellent and the breakfast was superb. 5min walk from Banff centre. Exceeded our expectations in all aspects. Warm and welcoming, yet quite and private. Perfect!
Ptarmigan Inn definitely is the best option to go to Banff, the location is really good on earth of downtown, facilities was the best (sauna), the breakfast was amazing (buffet) and the room I can’t make any complaints. I highly recommend this Hotel for your future vacations.
The downtown location, on-site facilities (pool, hot tubs and sauna) and excellent restaurant make the Moose Hotel my Banff favourite. Quiet, clean rooms and a pleasant, accommodating staff made the stay an enjoyable one.
We really enjoyed the nice clean rooms and how it was walking distance to downtown Banff (12 min walk to the heart). Breakfast was good for a hotel. Parking is underground so watch the size of your vehicle!
Beautiful hotel literally steps from downtown Banff! Breakfast options were amazing and all the staff were very friendly! We liked it so much we extended our stay an extra night.
The location, the staff, the rooms and the facilities they are all good.
You would get a visa pass to downtown banf and to lake Louise and almost all of the attractions in banf
Everything, the location is great (approx 25mins from Banff).
