We enjoy a traditional German family hotel like Hotel Lauer. The proprietor is friendly, helpful and speaks English. The room is spacious and comfortable, well appointed. Eggs cooked to order topped off a very nice breakfast. We booked an extra night.

The room was not too big, but it was perfect for a one night stay. It was clean and it smelled nice. The hotel is right near the train station and they made it the whole idea of the décor concept, which is nice. The bathroom was nice, water pressure was high, and everything smelled fresh and clean.

Breakfast was fantastic. Staff was very nice, even helping us practice our German instead of defaulting to English when they heard our accents.
Location was close to tram line to city center and also very close to the music venue we were attending.
