Hands down this is the most exceptional and amazing service and care I have ever experienced. We were greeted with welcome wine and nuts, given choices for dinner - which included the host cooking for us (this was a special treat!) and we wandered the castle gardens to our hearts content after a dessert of just picked strawberries and cream! Being greeted by the family of swans in the gardens was a treat. Unbelievable breakfast! Homemade fresh from the oven bread:) beds comfortable - NESPRESSO in the room! Really a special place in a quiet calm undiscovered part of the country. Hope to return someday! Our host Susanna was really one of the most remarkable humans we have met! So gracious, caring and welcoming. Thank you!!

We chose Happy Fisherman on the basis of its cost, size, pet friendliness and location relative to the Hirtshals ferry terminal. What impressed us most was the flexibility and service we received from Johnny, the host. We were way earlier than expected and he was happy to accommodate our late notice early check in. We left very early in the morning and he was outside clearing snow from the pathway!!! Property is perfect for a small family exploring the area or laying up 45 mins short of the ferry like we were. It seems to be in a really nice residential area but just a few minutes from some nice child friendly restaurants and shopping if you need it.

Excellent motel room with good equipment. The hosr, we met her in the shop next door, is very friendly. The room is quiet despite being next to the highway and the bed is quite comfortable. Can recommend this small motel for a one night stop over.
