Stunning location.
Stunning location. Chateau was spectacular but also because it was a chateau it had its downside. I would return but would definitely book a room on the ground floor as anything above this was like a sauna! The dordogne is well accustomed to temperatures in excess of 30 degrees so should have provisions in place to offset this. Beautiful food and friendly staff. Pool area and spa fantastic.

Breakfasts were good, we differed over the enjoyment of the dinner. The bathroom was fine though sometimes the "hot" water was only tepid (which wasn't a big problem as the weather was hot!). It must be a challenge to operate such a place and we appreciated the staff.

The location, at night you can touch the stars. 7 minutes by car there is a little town called Bourdeilles, stunning where there are little hotels and a couple of restaurants.francoUnited Kingdom
