We appreciated the hotel location, all the special places we wanted to visit were within a 40 km radius, making this hotel an ideal base for our bike trip. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hotel. We chose to have dinners at the onsite restaurant, serving delicious food. On Sunday night the Chef ran a takeaway catering van by the hotel courtyard in lieu of opening the restaurant, offering good quality burgers, french sausages in buns, fries, beer and wine. People came from the local village to eat al fresco in the hotel courtyard, very friendly atmosphere!

The room is compact with a bunk bed and the bathroom really small, but it was everything clean and cozy to spend one day. Best thing was the attendance, the ladies at the reception were really nice and let us leave the bags before the check in time, since we had a tour schedule for that day. Also, there's a reception self-service outside, so you have everything you need.
In case you are really tired in the end of the day, which was our case, the restaurant in front of the hotel is great, with cold food buffet or menu. The lady at the reception kindly gave us a 50% coupon for it!

Nice hotel in a good easy to find location. It is well placed to visit the museums and sights of Bayeux. The tapestry was amazing - you must go see it. We managed to get a good parking spot in front of the hotel (street parking), but also noticed that there is a big free car park with plenty of spaces around the corner. The room was clean, tea&coffee facilities available not in the room but downstairs in the hotel (which you have to pay for).

All staff very friendly and reception excellent. Location for visiting Normandy everything we required. Breakfast good. Bed very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for bath and shower, Port en Bessin- Huppain very close, lovely small fish restaurants. Pool looked great but a bit cold for us in April.

Commes is a small village, which is a good location for travelling around this part of Normandy. Our particular interest was the D Day landings and the location was excellent for this. Also we visited Bayeux and the chateau at Balleroy. Commes is a short distance from Port en Bassin which has excellent restaurants and bars, shops and a supermarket.

We never really looked at Commes as we were only there for 1 night but it appeared to be a quiet place on the coast. It is ideal to visit so many places though. We ate in Arromanches which was about a 10 minute drive away. This is where the Gold Beach is (British landing beach for D Day) Very interesting place.
The hotel was excellent, very picturesque just as expected. I was staying for one night only as a stopover before taking the ferry from Cherbourg the next day. The staff was lovely, very welcoming and helpful, and they gave me great recommendations for a walk to the local cliffs (breathtaking) and how to get to the nearest town/beach. The room was spacious and very clean, the bed was super comfortable. The hotel restaurant served excellent food (3 course menu). Would have loved to stay longer, will definitely stay again in the future!
Great rooms in a beautiful old farmhouse compound located a short drive from Bayeux and quite close to the beaches of Normandy. Incredible staff, terrific food at the restaurant where people come from far and wide (not just hotel guests). Staff were very friendly, very helpful and quite knowledgeable about the locale attractions. Look forward to staying again.
Breakfast was good, no eggs were served.
Dinner, cooked by the owner was excellent.
The hotel is in an old village building, the room was rather simple. Checking in only after 4 pm.
Short driving distance to the various landing beaches, museums and cemeteries.
Beautiful and traditional old building, now a hotel with all the comforts. Very quiet. Restaurant on site, food was good. Helpful and understanding staff and nice garden (with rabbit)
