The receptionist went above and beyond on my arrival , I arrived after a long ride from Calais in the rain, she helped order me hot food and had it delivered to reception due to a late night check in.
The rooms were spacious and clean, the hotel on arrival looks impressive to the eye .

Very little.
Over the twenty years or so that we have used this hotel quite a number of times ,we have witnessed a gradual deterioration in the decor ,quality of the facilities ,standard of catering whilst the cost of staying there has been increasing.
There was a rear garden with a popular swimming pool with easily accessed car parking at the front.the rear garden and pool have been removed and the area is now the car park and the front car parking is now closed to cars and the well maintained lawns are poorly maintained.
We will not return

Lovely town with an interesting if troubled history.
Lovely town with an interesting if troubled history. We were there twice this summer, doe overnight family travel stops. Lovely park by the lake and good shopping, wining and dining. A choice of good hotels and restaurants.
Stunning art-deco town.
Relaxing, classy, stylish;
especially for anyone interested in beautiful buildings/architecture.
Wonderful shopping, cheap prices - great value.
We hired a car and parked in the centre of town for €8 per 24 hours.
Cafés and brasseries and a huge range of food restaurants for evening meals.
Theres a "son-et-lumier" show on currently every evening at the Palais de Congrais, which is highly recommended. Brilliant.

Vichy is a fascinating city full of stunning architecture, lovely parks and good eating spots. We didnt have time but it looked like the river watersports would have been good fun to do with the kids. We hired scooters to zip around for an hour to take in lots of the sights.

Vichy is a pretty spa town with great architecture and wonderful public spaces. The tourist area is compact and easy to walk around in. We had lunch in two different Michelin starred restaurants and both were excellent. Dinner was a disappointment but only because we failed to make a reservation. Be sure to reserve at your restaurant of choice before you go!

It’s a fabulous turn of the century totally unspoilt spa town located on a lovely river/lake with bars located all along the banks. I love it!! Makes a lovely stop on the drive from northern France to the south.
Stephanie was great -- she met us and she was VERY responsive, both before our stay and during it! She spoke English and was able to help us understand where the stores and other places were located. We also liked her decor for the apartment. Location was great for us as we were just down the street from the equestrian venue where our daughter was competing. We also enjoyed the quick access to the riverwalk. Vichy is very walkable. And we felt very secure in the apartment.
The hotel was perfectly situated for the centre of Vichy ,shops bars restaurant's and spa's.. also for the old historical part and the lac d'allier...The hotel has recent new owners who have tastefully re done the hotel and bedrooms. I mentioned we were celebrating our 3 year anniversary when booking the room and we were given a free upgraded bedroom, which was lovely.. The breakfast was excellent lots of choice ..a warm welcome I would recommend..
The bed sheets were clean and the pillows or the duvet didn't smell.
The price was small for one night taking into account the fact that the hotel is in downtown/old city centre of Vichy.
I guess we were assigned an old room in an old side of the building as there is a very big difference between the room presented by booking.com and what we got when we reached the hotel.
This hotel is located in an old villa 100-200m away from spas and buvettes, in the centre of Vichy. The host speaks only French, we had to use Translate on the phone, but otherwise everything went o.k. The parking in front of hotel was not possible, but there was an underground parking 100 m away (7 EUR/night, payable only with credit card).
The apartment is stylish, tasteful, cosy and functional. Spotlessly clean and everything is high quality. In a quiet street with a park, but just 5 mins walk to the centre of Vichy. Free on street parking. The host Veronique was lovely - gave us a warm welcome and all the info we needed about the glat and the area.
Simply the best location in Vichy, between the parks and the the river. Beautiful lobby. Rather spacious room with the terrace. And of course, easy SPA access! Underground parking is 20 meters away. Hotel didn’t block any money on the credit card upon arrival (thank you for that!). Pet friendly.
The apartment cozy and comfortable and close to everything. It was so quiet and peaceful. The kitchen was well equipped and Sylvain the owner was so helpful. It was also very close the old town of Vichy with so much to see. Parking was a breeze as it was right outside our door.
This was our second stay at the Midland. We stopped on the way going and back from the Auvergne, taking the train from Paris and renting a car at Vichy. We were very pleas;ed with the hotel on the way there, and were happy to be able to book a room on the way back.
We stayed here after the France v England game. It is in a good location - not in the centre of Vichy but just outside. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly.
