Hodgeston is the formal village name for what is really known as Freshwater East. A good place for coastal walking, I did two days without the car from my accommodation. There is other great walking in easy driving distance. There are also a couple of historic sites - two castles and a ruined palace - nearby. The roads were pretty quiet and the driving in the area was smooth. I self catered at the property.
