The lodge is immaculately presented, equipped with everything you need for a short break. It is obvious that the owners take great pride in their property and this is reflected in the quality of the little extras they provide, hand lotion, luxury towels, coffee maker , candles etc. It's location is 2 minutes walk from the main reception which houses a fantastic indoor heated pool and a bar which has separate areas for family, Sky etc. It's a perfect place for a short stay. We had our 2 daughters with us (age 8 & 10) who asked when can we go back? We hadn't even left yet !!! Ferrari? .
Ferrari? . Grounds and most public spaces in hotel were nice (not Ladies toilets). Friendly staff. There are 2 supermarkets within a mile from the hotel. Our (Exececutive) room was not Ferrari status. Our room didn't have tea/coffee maker, as advertised. It had old-fashioned furniture covered with black tablecloths and a stool with peeling fabric on it. The jacuzzi bath only worked on one setting. The 'flat-screen TV' was as small as a laptop screen. A 30-piece brass band was practising in an events room below our room from 8-10pm on one night and 8-9pm on another night. We'd gone away for a peaceful getaway. We arrived late but the receoptioniost had telephoned to enquire if we were on our way and that our plans were unchanged. Friendly receptionist advice us of the room location - single flight of wide stairs, and offered a brief history of the house. Exceptionally spacious room (suite) with interesting, but slightly overpowering French furniture. Comfortable bed, lovely views from the bedroom. Good supply of hot water in the shower (source of soap in the shower would be an advantage as the self-service bottles are on the bathroom window sill. Unfortunately did not have enough time to sit or explore the lounge / bar area, not the gardens. Vegetarian breakfast option was welcome. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. The property is about a 20 minute walk to Longridge centre. The location is ideal. It occupies a quiet plot on a large caravan site. It was lovely when we stayed. I wish we had booked for longer. We will definitely return at some point. Our host Sharon was amazing.
