Peaceful location, lovely courtyard room with everything needed, including a very comfortable bed. Fantastic breakfast and excellent evening meal on the day we chose to eat there. It was nice staying next to the bar - we could have a drink in the evening without worrying about who was going to drive. We're not golfers, but learned a bit about the sport while we were there! Also was great to be so close to the Nature Reserve and able to walk around Rutland Water.

the place was nice, comfortable, and easy to find. building by itself was good exciting architecture. The elevator was not needed for me but it was a very clever solution for older. Polite and nice staff.

We stayed at The Angler Hotel in Oakham for four nights and had such a lovely experience. The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home from the start. Our room was spotless, and the bed was soooo comfortable – one of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in a hotel! One of the highlights was how dog-friendly the hotel is. Our dog was made to feel just as welcome and comfortable as we were. The food was absolutely incredible – and the service throughout was impeccable. We highly recommend The Angler Hotel and would happily return for another stay!
