We love this hotel!. We arrived later and staff was very friendly and we eat delicious dinner in restaurant. Hotel was quiet village and perfect to us stay with us dog. Parking was easy. Us room was very beautiful and bed was comfy. Very good Scottish breakfast !Sure we go to stay this hotel again !

The location was exceptional and the three days we spent there were very affordable. Along the Ninth River, it was quiet and the sound of water flowing wa soothing (there was also an electrical hookup for EVs). We loved watching the sheep and lambs across the river. The surprise was the owner is an Italian chef! We arranged to eat dinner at the hotel on our first evening after a long trip, and then we ate every meal there for three days! Each time was delightful. He grows vegetables in his garden and greenhouse, and everything was perfectly prepared. We highly recommend this hotel.

Stunning property with warm and supportive staff. The evening meal was outstanding! I had a massage in the garden spa and it was very tranquil. Dora was wonderful in helping me get everything arranged!

This hotel is a little gem! We stayed for one night, the final night of our little week-long tour of Southern Scotland, and it was by far the nicest of all we had stayed in. Such good value for money. We stayed in the Auchenbrack room (one of the family rooms on the top floor), which was perfect. As with the rest of the hotel the room has some lovely features and is really pleasantly furnished - very much my style of building! My wife particularly loves the bath! Staff were very welcoming and the food was excellent. We had a lovely meal the night we arrived and breakfast was lovely too. Portions for both adults and children were good. So pleased we stayed, definitely look at coming again, maybe with friends next time.

    As a location for an easy going restful break it is ideal.

    As a location for an easy going restful break it is ideal. However Wanlockhead has a history of lead mining with the lead mining museum and mine tour which for any history buff will find fascinating. Even if you’re not into history the area and its views are well worth the visit. Visit and tell me I’m wrong!!!
