This is a beautiful boutique hotel located in the tea plantations of Wayanad. It's a renovated plantation bungalow, and they've done it up very nicely and tastefully. Fittings and furnishings looked new and the rooms were very clean and well maintained. The room itself was ENORMOUS. Made us feel like we were actually staying in a palace. Bed was very comfortable, there was hot water available, wifi was decent too. Staff were pleasant and accommodating. Surroundings and location are very scenic. There is also a pool, gym and sauna on site. The restaurant provides good food- you do need to order in advance though, as with most properties in remote locations, as staff need to procure the ingredients accordingly. Highly recommend as a weekend get away for couples or family. We also got a free upgrade to their heritage bungalow, which was a pleasant surprise! I would definitely classify this as a luxury plantation stay.

We would like to express our satisfaction following our stay in Machaan last week. Not only the place is fabulous, in the middle of a coffee plantation, but the tents are incredibly comfortable, and the food is very nice. We particularly appreciated the nature walks, the bird watching, the night insects hunt, with Mr Shreyas and Mr Gautam who are both extremely knowledgeable and made our stay a real learning experience. On top of this the nature sessions allow you to meet other guests and atmosphere is very friendly. Thanks to all and to the staff!

Lovely location with forests all round. Lovely swimming pool. Excellent, helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to take me to local village festival and pick me back up. The staff could not have done more to make my stay a success.
