Both the old town and new town are extensive, and both are effective working, shopping and eating places. The old town has many interesting architectural features, and I also had dinner in the cathedral square, which was is a location of interesting character. The old town has very steep streets, but if you are fit enough, the effort will be rewarded. I will visit it again to explore it further.

Its a lovely old town and then there is a new city as well. The town has a University so there are plenty of people around. It felt very safe at night and we enjoyed the Restaurant about 10 minutes walk from our Apartment into the old city.

Cosenza's main street is a a vibrant pedestrian only street with great shops and restaurants. The remainder of the city is somewhat run down with the exception of the "old town" which is a great place to visit and wander around.

Cosenza is so close to the mountains, sea, and many wonderful historic towns in the region (like the centro storico of Rende). It's worth at least 5 days to explore it all! The Cosenza Centro Storico is worth a day on its own with the castle. I can't wait to go back and explore the area in more depth!

We booked Cosenza at the last minute and we’re so glad!
We booked Cosenza at the last minute and we’re so glad! Amazing city..mix of old/ancient/new, historic center is over the top with photo ops, we spent 2 days wandering the alleys. Very special place. Mostly locals, very few tourists, highly recommend!! Be prepared to walk a lot, up hills and stairs. Buses are confusing, not many people speak English. Worth the effort, get a taxi to the castle and walk down..incredible views!
The place is great. It is very clean and shining. The room looks new and renovated. The hosts are very pleasant and welcoming. They provided us with some places that you should visit in Cosenza which was very helpful. The bathroom was super clean and there is an additional pillow which is a plus. Breakfast was small but good, they even left us water and juice. The location is fine if you like to walk. There is free parking near the house, so no problem with that. The neighbourhood seemed calm.
The location was great, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the price was very good. More than that Giovanna and Mario were great hosts, not only making reservations at some of the great restaurants in the area, but also suggesting ideas for day trips to the sea, or an excursion to the mountain communities. They were kind and very accommodating. Also, there is a locked parking area directly behind the hotel. We had a great stay and a great time!
The location in the old town and near the river, the authentic historic building, part of an ancient church in and ancient neighbourhood.
The three room apartment has two balconies and superb ventilation for comfortable sleeping in a heat wave.
Francesca was welcoming and helpful eg she booked a great restaurant for us.
It was very good value. The old town of Cosenza is beautiful, still in need of restoration. Go before the word gets out.
Great location and service from the host. Significant art works on the Corso Mazzini by Dali, Chirico and others. I felt safe. Environment was quiet. Sunny balcony. Useful expresso machine. Kitchen quite well equipped. Renovated bathroom. Good washing machine. Wonderful to have access to youtube, netflix etc. Most hotels don't provide that. Save heaps and ear better cooking for yourself. Food is cheap here. Great holiday.
I only did a one night stop over. It was perfect! I called when I arrived (after 10 pm) and I was talked through the entrance procedure. Room was nice, private (large) bathroom, mini fridge, bottle of water, comfy bed & pillows. Was walking distance to the bus station, shopping blvd, the river with historic buildings and a flea market! Breakfast voucher for a Cafe across street (best latte in Italy so far).
Clean and comfortable room with big bathroom.
Very nice and friendly owner, ready to help and give recommendations for dinner, sightseeing, taxi and other things.
Great location. Very close to city central street. The bus station is on the opposite side of the hotel and it was very easy to catch the bus in the morning. The public transport stop to the train station is also near the hotel.
Fantastic little hotel. Great location clean and friendly. The room is spacious and beautifully presented with a comfortable bed and a nice view out a large window.
The large ensuite has natural light and ventilation via a frosted window. Great shower and all facilities are new and in perfect working condition.
Breakfast is plentiful and the hospitality is superb.
Once you understand that this is not a hotel in the traditional sense, the check-in process is easy. There is no sign on the building for Uniclub, so call the number on your reservation and a nice gentleman who speaks English will let you in.
I was expecting a single room but it was a spacious apartment! Very close to the shopping area while being quieter.
The place is shiny brand new, has all the amenities you need, is super comfortable and clean! The hosts were extra nice and kind, even giving some recommendations in town. The breakfast was abundant and tasty! The location is super close to both the old town and the city center. Would definitely recommend G&G home to anyone staying in Cosenza!
Great location in the historic district, 2 blocks from the Cathedral. Excellent restaurants & cafes nearby. Short walk to Corso Mazzini pedestrian mall & national art gallery. Beautiful view from the room & breakfast terrace looking across the tiled rooftops of the historic center to the lush green hills that surround Cosenza.
Beautiful hotel located in a historic building but renovated to meet modern standards. It is lovely and unique. Our room was very spacious. The hotel is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The rooftop lounge area provided a beautiful view of the city. The staff served a wonderful breakfast on the rooftop.
The room was very clean, and many of the facilities felt new.
The hotel is in the center of the shopping district, and it's easy to access the main shopping thoroughfare.
Breakfast was well-equipped for gluten free dining.
Good focus on eco-friendliness, which was appreciated.
Great location on the main shopping street of Cosenza and close to secure parking. Room was lovely and very comfortable, and had a great shower in the bathroom. Staff was very nice and accomodating. Good variety of breakfast options and a nice terrace to eat outside.
The location is perfect for a quiet stay and walk around the older part of Cosenza. The room was comfortable and updated. The breakfast was extensive with local specialties. Sonia gave us a wonderful recommendation for dinner just down the street.
- The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful.
- Compared to hotels in the same price range, the facilities were in excellent condition.
- The location is highly convenient with easy access to the town center.
The room was clean, quiet and well equipped. A terrace is a strong point of this place. It is a good place to visit Cosenza beacause the old town and center of the city is easy reachable on foot.
Breakfast was excellent, best so far in Italy. Location was safe and peaceful. Nice walk in the evening to a Japanese run Sushi restaurant where food and service was very good.
It was a beautiful hidden hotel in the heart of the old district. Tall ceilings and tile flooring. Very clean place to stay. Would recommend a stay to friends for sure.
