☺️ The owner received us with hospitality and warm drink, served with adorable local keramics. (Sad the shop of keramics closed when we stayed in the area, but I suppose that’s worth to pay a visit and look around) Owner also shared the sushi restaurants, useful information of viewing spots nearby (gold mountains, supermarkets and routes) Because we didn’t have a car to move around, he even offered to send us to the spots and took us back to the bus stations. Which was out of expectation and saved us a lot of time to enjoy the trip. 🛖 The house had kitchen and a cozy living room(shared space) with coffee ready to drink all the time. On the first floor there is a bathroom with 🛁. In the guest room there is a shower room and separated sink area. There is sofa & coffee table, aside with television in room, as a relaxing zone. Further more…🎶 There were recordings of great jazz played from recorder and projection for the movies. In the room they were connected to YAMAHA speakers 🔊. Amazing entertainment in room with good sound system. Everything we need and things out of expectation made the stay rememberable. Such a beautiful stay and we can feel a lot of love in the house. Thank the owner for his friendliness and amazing house. By talking with the owner and looking around in the house we got to know more about the location.

Everything. The room was comfy and big. The room, bathroom and shower were very clean. There were vinyl, DVD, and video players available. The vinyl collection was very good and harmonized with calm Sado's sunsets. There is also benches in the garden so you can rest there, have a barbecue or interact with local folks passing by. The owner is very friendly and kind, I enjoyed to speak with him and share a tea and a meal. He can help you to arrange any details of your stay in Sado so do not hesitate to share your plans with him so he can assist you. The room is ~20 minutes walking from Sado Mine (Sado Kinzan). You can also bike to Senkakuwan Bay for 40 minutes. I really loved my stay in Natural Mind, thank you so much!

I stayed for 12 nights at this beautiful temple. The hosts truly went out of their way to make me feel at home, and for this I am very thankful. The room and facilities are very clean and comfortable with everything you need for a short or an extended stay. The temple hosts also taught me so many things about Sado Island, the local Hatano community and many other things. I can think of no better place to spend my time on this interesting, bio-diverse island. My heartfelt thanks to the team for all their time, patience and lessons!

Style. Nipponia is a frontrunner that transforms historic buildings into dwellings Setting. Former exile colony and gold mining town. Hotel just 7 minutes drive from the gold mine, 5 minutes walk to the coastline Explore. 400 years old Aikawa town, drive around stunning & heavenly Sado Island, a landmass of 777 square kilometers yet only 50,000 residents Rooms. I was in one of the two rooms upstairs from the reception with a Hinoki bathroom, tatami mat floors, sliding shoji screens, washi paper lanterns, full of character and atmosphere @ the hotel. The hotel is in a restored machiya that used to be a ceramics shop, but is now a community immersive hotel with 7 rooms scattered throughout 4 buildings in town. What sets it apart is the heartfelt service, they made dinner reservations for me at a nearby izakaya (Hinoki) and drove me there to help order and settle me in, as the restaurant was busy (quite a few people were in town due to the annual Sado Long Ride 210 km cycling event), breakfast was delivered to my room Food & drinks. Hinoki for dinner and Bunzo for drinks Prices. $348 Rating. 5/5
