I always have a very relaxing trip, gor a quick getaway from Elpaso, 2 hours of open highway gets you right there and the locals are very friendly and welcoming. Food was great also and the service was so quick 😋

We've driven by TOC many times on our way to and from Colorado, always intending to stop and explore "someday" but never finding the time. So, we booked 2 nights at a local motel and initially weren't impressed with what we saw - driving down the business 25 on a Friday afternoon, it looked abandoned and dumpy, especially downtown. But, as we spent the following day walking around and exploring, the town and its people "grew" on us. It has a laid-back, surfy-beachy vibe. Everybody, locals and visitors alike, were SO friendly! Tons of dog-walkers with well-behaved dogs, enjoying the weather, smiling as they walked by our outdoor table at the local brewery. As we passed the soon-to-open Pablo's Food & Juice Bar on our way back to the motel, the co-owner invited us in, showed us around, and offered us free coffee and pastries! If you like thrift stores, there are many to choose from. We're not thrifters, but we stepped into Jones Street Secondhand to look around and ended up buying a few useful items for less than $10 (proceeds benefit local animal shelter and they also host adoptions on Saturdays). Don't miss Bullock's, the grocery store on the south end of town. They have an unbelievable wine and liquor selection - Becherovka, Stroh, rhubarb gin ... things I can't even reliably find here in Tucson! And we didn't even make it to the Geronomo Springs Museum, which I heard is excellent. We will be back to explore the town and the surrounding areas some more, not to mention the various hot springs.

The Black Cat Coffee and Books was awesome! Really good coffee, great selection of books, and very nice locals coming in and chatting. Bullock's grocery store was also excellent, with a surprisingly (to me) impressive wine selection and small but delicious bakery items.

My solo trip was intended as a recon mission to see if it was worth the drive. I was not disappointed. This cute little town was more than I could have hoped for. Found a few art shops walking around. Looking forward to returning with my spouse for a nice Lind relaxing stay.

Very old tourist oriented town. Plenty of eateries of all varieties. Elephant Butte Lake State Park. Natural hot springs have made the town famous. Art Galleries. Shops in downtown area. Nice, friendly people. I want to go back again.

Riverbend Hot Springs was very nice. It's on the Rio Grande River and is a very clean place. Pricing was very affordable, and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking.
