Things to Do in Natal

Tropical Leve
Tropical Leve’s ethos is about serving up fresh, healthy, environmentally friendly food. This restaurant is loved by locals for its succulent chicken sandwiches, fluffy quinoa salads, açaí berries with granola – and all manner of natural juices. All this at very reasonable prices, too. If you’re in town, don’t miss out.
Nau Frutos do Mar Restaurant
If you’re prepared to spend a little extra on your seafood in Natal, then Nau Frutos do Mar is always a good bet. Set inside a funky modern building, this restaurant serves up a tasty menu, with seafood as the star of the show. Don’t miss the shrimp hotpot with coconut milk.
Camarões Restaurant
When you go to a restaurant whose name translates as ‘Shrimp Restaurant’, you know they’re going to be serious about shrimp. So it proves, with a menu that abounds with finger-licking dishes that feature this tasty crustacean. The quality is sky-high too – no wonder Camarões is so beloved of local seafood lovers.
Abade Restaurant
Abade is a restaurant that harks back to its Portuguese roots. The speciality here is cod, a classic of Portugal’s culinary traditions, and there are over ten cod dishes alone to choose from. Check out the ‘balhau Abade’, where the roast fish is served with kale, almonds, quail eggs and broccoli rice. Delicious!
Lotus Restaurant
This excellent restaurant fuses Japanese cuisine with other influences, predominantly French. If that sounds like a strange proposition, you only have to try it to see that it more than makes sense. For the full Lotus experience, order the six-course ‘Omakase’ menu, where the chef picks out his own funky favourites for your delectation.
Casa de Taipa Tapiocaria
If you’re wild about tapioca, or just curious about what it’s like, head to Casa de Taipa Tapiocaria. This natural starch is baked into sheets that envelop little mini-stews of meat or fish like the pastry of a pie. Order up the shrimp, vegetable, pumpkin and cheese tapioca – you won’t be disappointed.

Very Good
Location in Ponta Negra facing the beach is the best place to stay. Be prepare to high hills everywhere you go and is not worth going to beach far away. Was hard and there wasn’t easy finding coffee places. You pay for what you want. Eating is easy and good.

Other nice beaches in 160 km (Galinghas) or 70 km (Praia do Pipa), or to the gigantic dunes about 50 km Northwest of Natal. In Punta Negra some nice and good restaurants.

Stay was restricted to Ponta Negra for a short break. The best options for food are away from beach on and behind the main thoroughfare. Ponta Negra has a lively and lovely beach. it is very distant from the airport however.
