Things to Do in Paphos City

Kato Paphos Archaeological Site
If you’re into all things classical, you’ll love Kato Paphos Archaeological Site. This abandoned city is a treasure trove of artefacts, and it’s still being excavated for hidden gems today. The main draw is the so-called Paphos Mosaics, a collection of opulent artworks from a Roman villa, each depicting a different Greek myth.
Paphos Castle
Sitting proudly in Paphos Harbour, this 14th-century building is all that’s left of a destroyed fortress. It’s a neat, squat cube of stones that’s best appreciated at sunset. As bright colours fill the sky, its slabs soak up the soft palette to produce a supremely romantic scene. Which, of course, is only appropriate in the birthplace of Aphrodite.
Coral Bay Beach
With its clear water, rocky headlands and deep sea caves, Coral Bay is an incredible spot for diving and snorkelling. If you’re not in the mood to plunge into Paphos’ underwater world, this cove is also ideal for relaxation. Lay out your towel and spend the day sunbathing on the white sand and swimming in the glittering Mediterranean.

The weather in mid summer is very hot and humid. It's not easy to be outside unless you are near water. We gave up some sites because of that hit. Self sailing to the blue lagoon was the best experience we had.

Recommended in Paphos City

Spend a day in the harbour heritage site, take a bus to Limassol, Petra tou Romeou, Polis and Aphrodite's well (Walk the nature trails above Petra to Romeou and Aphrodite's well) and visit the Troodos mountains for the views, monasteries and local wines!

Great walkway along the Paphos coast, so don't need to go near the busy roads. Also good bus transport around Paphos town. Need to improve the bus service for Paphos district.

My dog settled in happily, and slept as well as I did. Several good dog-walking areas nearby

Kato Paphos, Paphos Harbour, Catacombs, Old Shipwreck, Coral Bay

Jump in the pool! However it's a 'nice' heat in Cyprus

Cypriots r usually polite n friendly
