Exceptional
Lovely beach town. The beach is gorgeous and the beachside is buzzing with people walking around and restaurants. Lovely sunset. Old town center near the church has the Spanish town feeling with lots of bars and restaurant.

Zarautz is basically a collection of many semi-modern appartment buildings. You come here for the beach, or the surrounding area. The city itself is not very interesting.

It was nice to see the sea early and the hotel was just the job after a long ride down. A bit off the 'trodden path' for someone from the UK and couldn't imagine spending more than a night there.

Very Good
Nice little beach town. Most famous for its long beach, used by both surfers and swimmers. Plenty of restaurants along the boardwalk. Decent town center with bars and restaurants. Take a trip up and down the coast, too!

The walk to Getaria is stunning - only 4km along a promenade - you might have to dodge a few waves depending on tide. We walked it on the evening, had dinner in Getaria and caught the bus back.

The beach is long and sandy although the sea can be dangerous for young children when the surf is up. I also has a long promanade for an evening stroll

Wonderful beach with slightly golden sand

Wags
