Nice seafront and quite a few beautiful buildings. However rather tacky and run down in many places and very overcrowded (we come from a rural village!) We were happy to get away from the town and on to the downs and had a lovely day in Lewes

Very good
Worthing has a lot to offer both in retail and in enjoying the sea front. Programmes at the theatre's and retro cinema offer evening entertainment. Well placed for Brighton or Chichester..

Recommendations for Worthing

I started to visit Worthing when a dear friend and ex=work colleague was taken seriously ill following a fall at his home in the town. I started to visit him from time to time, and, for company, I used to bring my elderly mother who loved Worthing and its shops and other amenities. Although, sadly, my friend has passed away, I still visit as I have now made other friends there.

Why would you recommend Worthing for food?

Varied restaurants of high quality, with quite a number of Italian restaurants. Prices are not prohibitive with something for everyone

Good views and a relaxing atmosphere which helps to recharge your batteries.

Away from the front and explore some of the smaller roads and alleys

A wonderful view. I wonder what it was like in the war.

a lot of charity shops (to buy second hand books)
