Exceptional
Gili Meno is more laid back than the two other larger islands, Gili Air and Gili Trawangan. Therefore, facilities are fewer and generally more rustic. However, this gives Meno it's own unique identity offering a more relaxing and genuine experience.

Gili Meno is beautiful - much cleaner than Gili T - the sea is clearer and the beaches are stunning. The island is easy to walk around and you can easily get good value for money food and drink. Gili Meno is very quiet however.

Exceptional
The bungalows were spacious and spaced well apart. The rooms were lovely, a bit tired but you get what you pay for and when you're that close to pristine beaches as long as the room is clean I'm not complaining!

Very good
Beautiful beaches, though most of them are too shallow for swimming. Interesting tropical water species (sea stars, sea worms, hermit crabs, etc) are easily seen, even without snorkel equipment..

Very good
Meno is a wonderful getaway if you're seeking a bit of peace and quite and some romantic alone time. It's paradise for honeymooners. It's so beautiful and the island has the best snorkelling spots with many turtles. Loved it!

Recommendations for Gili Meno

Go to Sasak cafe for delicious local Sasak food, not the cheapest, but reasonable and large portions. The best on the island by miles, and they play good Reggae and Ambient tunes. Strong Cocktails too! Also try Jali Cafe, the staff are so nice and treat you like family, the breakfast pancakes there are huge and delicious. Lots of great places to eat, maybe just avoid Karma as it is very expensive for what you get. Same goes for Rust Cafe opposite main shop by the Harbour.

Early morning swims on more or less empty beaches in clear blue water overlooking Lombok. Watching the Sunset at Sasak Cafe over cocktails. Relaxing at Jali Cafe, saying cards overlooking blue sea and white sand by day and moonlight on the water by night.

It doesn't really - it isn't well maintained with litter everywhere and unfriendly people. And there isn't really any good food on the island.

Rustic far-flung tropical coral islets with unbelievable walk-in coral-reef snorkeling everywhere! Who needs a boat!

Go to any place in the North-east side of the island, from the Seri Resort you can have a wonderful view.

Blue Marlin Dive Center. Ask for Sulman; took me on 2 dives, attentive and friendly.
