Things to do in Legian

Legian Beach
At Legian Beach, turquoise waters surge powerfully onto the pristine shoreline. Favoured by surfers and watersports fans, swimming isn’t allowed here – but don’t let that put you off. Beach-goers can still stretch out beneath the gently swaying palm fronds, indulge in a massage, or sip on a tropical cocktail or two. Evenings yield perfect pink skies, as the sun slips slowly below the horizon.
Legian Street
A long stretch connecting Kuta and Seminyak, Jala Legian bustles with activity both day and night. In the daytime, take along your best bartering skills and hit the shops – dipping down the many little alleyways for those unusual buys you’d otherwise miss. After dark, it’s time for drinks and dancing, as the street lights up with the neon glow of popular clubs and bars.
Merta Nadi Art Market
At Merta Nadi hundreds of stalls overflow with brightly coloured handicrafts and Balinese art, set alongside beautiful pieces from nearby Borneo and Java. Open every day from 9:00 to 21:00, there’s plenty of time to browse – so relax and enjoy the variety. Work out how much you’re willing to pay for your special finds and get ready to barter yourself that bargain.

A very touristic place (but I loved it). Mixture of old and new of everything. Restaurant food were great (they make good pizza). Its best to go around by foot - but expect big crowds everywhere everytime.

Very good
Lot of shops, restaurants, cafee, disco, beaches for surfers. Not for families, peace seeking guests, lot of scams, drugs, nightlife.

Legian is very close to kuta. Very busy at night and have to be careful of pick pocketers. My friends phone got stolen out the front of sky garden by a child. I would suggest staying in seminyak or Canggu.

Love the hustle and bustle. The people are friendly and full of character. Shopping is cheap, food is delicious and the massages are to die for.

Recommendations for Legian

The Local people we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful from the waiter in the Lemongrass restaurant to our barman from the Hotel and the barman next door who have now become friends on Facebook with my son. Rini from across the road in the market who sold clothes we become friends and l would go and sit with her to chat. Its the little things like this that make a trip. Its all about getting to know the people. Our driver Juli was amazing just an ordinary family man who gave in depth information on the Balinese culture which made my son really change his perception of Bali, he was very impressed with the people and culture.

Down towards double six in legian. By people keeping it clean and using bins for rubbish. The fixed price places are easier than haggling. But bartering is still readily available in many places.

Look for local cafés. Look for places that locals are eating. Avoid beach hotel restaurants . They are expensive and cater to western tastes

Laying by the pool to relaxing at the beach to having amazing massages I could go on and on

Bars like Billys, Sheppys, Uncle Norms have bands every night and ice cold beers

Getting barreled with many people watching at e beach..

Yes heaps to choose from
