Things to do in Senggigi

Batu Bolong Temple
Batu Bolong literally means “rock with hole”, a logical name given that this pretty temple sits atop just that. The welcoming locals place offerings on the 14 different altars and pagodas of this dramatic rocky outcrop. It’s a lovely spot to gaze out at the Bali Sea, watching the sun set on another day in paradise.
Senggigi Art Market
For handicrafts and souvenirs from around Lombok, you can’t miss Senggigi Art Market. The little stalls are set up between the Santosa Villas & Resort and the Sheraton Hotel. There are paintings, clothing, handcrafted jewelry, pearls, kitchenware and much more. It’s a great place to find some local treasures, but be prepared to haggle for the best price!
Kerandangan Valley
Kerandangan Valley is a lush jungle with waterfalls and swimming holes on the beautiful island of Lombok. The valley rolls down into light sand beaches, with a strip of coastline popular for surfers and swimmers. A walk through the tranquil forest and along the shore is a great way to unwind while enjoying a stay in Senggigi.

Exceptional
Really feel good place. The local people are so friendly. We ate in a few local restaurants and the good was excellent, especially in Temptations Bakery (this place is a must!!!) Great sunsets can be found from the beach. Ideal stopover location for the Gili Islands too.

it was not my favourite place, theres a lot of charme missing, maybe good for resort residents but not for us...neither one thing nor another! but nice spot to start trips from and lots of options though.....

the beach was nice but you can find much better towards the south. the village is all about resorts and restaurants, there's not much of the local character around here

We stayed there on the way to the islands and back to the airport. We would say not that much to do there, but we do not know what you could do using Senggigi as a base, so keep it in mind that it might be a wonderful for other purposes.

Boring. Though we are seasoned veterans of Indonesia. Maluku, Komodo, even Java offer better value for time and money. Beer was cheap though and the variety of food good, though the quality questionable!

Recommendations for Senggigi

Do not pay exorbitant prices for a guide! Do bargain. If you are going to the Tia Kelep waterfall the trail is not difficult and does not really need a guide. The official entrance fee is very small, only 5 or 10 thousand Rupiah per person.

A comprehensive rubbish collection service. The litter is environmentally damaging and dangerous to marine life. It also spoils the natural beauty of the area.

The beach in Senggigi is nice, but probably the Gili islands and other places in Lombok are better.
