Things to Do in Ankara

Ankara Castle
This commanding castle is the ideal place to view the city from every aspect, making it a photographer’s wonderland. The castle sits within a well-preserved fortress known as the Citadel, made up of 42 pentagonal towers and an assembly of colossal walls. Be sure to keep an eye out for stones inscribed by former Roman inhabitants!
Old Town Ankara
Dominated by its imposing castle and citadel, the old town is also home to typical Ottoman houses and restaurants offering traditional Turkish cuisine. Haggling merchants line the narrow zigzagging lanes that run throughout the historic area. The slow-paced lifestyle of the Ottomans is still apparent as you wander amongst the local residences.
Haci Bayram Mosque
In the heart of Ankara, this beautiful 15th-century mosque is devoted to Hacı Bayram-ı Veli, the founder of the Bayrami sect. Although built in the 15th century, the structure was updated during the 17th and 18th centuries. The striking ceiling is made of ornamental wood, with pretty floral and plant motifs dotted around.
Atakule Tower
Atakule Tower is a 125 m. high tower in the central Ankara built in 1989. The top section of the tower houses a revolving restaurant. The bottom structures house a shopping mall and several indoor and outdoor restaurants.
Anitkabir Ataturk Museum
Anıtkabir is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the leader of Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first president of the Republic of Turkey.
Anit Street
OSTIM Organised Industrial Region
OSTIM Organised Industrial Region is one of the largest industrial zones in Turkey with more than 50000 companies ranging from medium to heavy industries.

Actually, there's nothing to do, except for the biggest most they have and the Castle you van reach trough the path of a humble town going uphill. But you can di all that in 4 hours, not even a day.

It’s a more diplomatic and a little version of Istanbul. You can almost walk around the city. You’ll see beautiful streets, people from different countries and also luxurious cars. I went to 2 great shopping malls there, Panora and AnkaMall. Both were great

There are few attractions in Ankara and I spent plenty of time in each place. The location for attractions in Ankara was not walking distance. Probably need to spend more days to cover more places.

When you are in Ankara, you must visit Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. The museum is housed in 15th century covered market. The central room houses reliefs and statues, the surrounding hall displays exhibits from Palaeolithic, Neolithic, Phrygian etc periods.

The museum of Anatolian civilizations is a fantastic place to learn about the many different peoples that lived in Turkey in ancient times. There are many displays and some great dioramas to see how people would have lived thousands of years ago.

because of day-to-day business, where you find people going to their various destination as well students going to lecture room.
