Things to Do in Atlantic City

Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa
Every hour is a happy one at the Borgata. Aside from the cornucopia of slot machines and video poker games, the Borgata boasts a deluxe spa, 32nd-floor infinity pool and first-class eateries for all tastes. Then there’s the actual "happy hour" at the Oyster Bar every afternoon. What better way to get into the Atlantic City swing of things?
Harrah’s
More than a casino, Harrah’s is the perfect getaway. When you’re not spinning wheels or shooting craps, there’s a whole bunch of leisurely pursuits to choose from. You can shop in classy stores like Swarovski, unwind in the elegant Elizabeth Arden spa or take a swim under its huge glass-dome roof. After dark, join the wet ‘n’ wild party at the poolside club.
Tropicana Casino and Resort
Say hello to a little piece of Havana. Out on the boardwalk it’s Atlantic City, but inside the Tropicana you’ll find the Latin Quarter. Decked out like a Cuban streetscape, this casino features rum bars, tango lounges and poolside cabanas. Even the games sound exotic here, with everything from Caribbean Stud to Pai Gow poker up for grabs.
Caesars Atlantic City
Marble floors, classical-style architecture and Italian artwork lend Caesars a certain gravitas. In keeping with its upscale style, it even has its own Armani and Gucci stores on site. So, you’ll look the part whether you hit the casino floor or head for the swanky Toga Bar, which hosts the city’s coolest DJs and a sophisticated clientele.
Atlantic City Aquarium
A combination aquarium and marine science education center, the Atlantic City Aquarium houses more than 100 species of fish and other marine creatures.

The city is in transition and needs to keep going on renovations but not rely on the casinos. bring in musical acts or other entertainment to develope a more diverse entertainment atracton. theators, and playhouse type buildings may help.

I can come here any time and usually don't stay at Tropicana. It was convenient to a performance at Boardwalk Hall and has good restaurants.

Had breakfast in a little quaint spot called Maria's Luncheonette. Good food, cheap prices. Will definitely eat there again. Also had fun in the outlets. Good prices

The hotel was full of action but too many other hotels and casinos were closed. It's not as exciting as it used to be

Recommended in Atlantic City

This is not a family-friendly resort town. In addition to the casinos (which I knew about), there are lots of strip clubs, liquor stores, etc. which are spread throughout the city (so they are hard to avoid coming across). The beach, however, was very nice- clean and not crowded, even during the summer prime season. I would only recommend this for a short get-away for adults if you plan on spending most of your time at the beach and not doing much else. The new outlets look nice, but the rest of the town does not seem safe for walking at night. For a family friendly area, I would go south to Ventnor or Ocean City. We were here for an adult get-away, but we will definitely not bring our kids here.

you can shop in the day gamble and party at night and at wyndham the staff at the front desk will give you a listing of everything that's going on at the casinos for the days you are there so you don't have to miss out on anything.

The difference of circumstances. You have "the street" people and middle classes as well of the very wealthy all co-mingling....it's fun to watch.
