Cute wine town with one Main Street and dozens of wineries. The Petite Colombe Restaurant was an extremely pleasant surprise - surely one of the best meals we enjoyed in South Africa and alone worth the visit.

Take the road through Franschhoek, turn right at Huguenote museum, and explore the smaller roads that you'll find by bicycle. Include a picnic at Holden Manz Winery.

By staying in Franschhoek, your host will keep you away from the overpriced restaurants. Evening dining means the day tourists have departed.

The natural beauty, standard of the wine farms (including the food) and affordability cannot be beat anywhere else in the world.

For sure. We ate at Cafe Des Arts and it was really delicious. There are a lot of choices of cuisine and budget.

Fine dining in beautifully designed vineyard restaurants, also child-friendly fine dining.
